allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tom Leach, the owner of tacklecount.com. I have recently taken over tackle count after seeing the brand advertised for sale on ebay. I have watched and played rugby for over 30 years, and I have an immense passion for the game, and so when I saw tackle count for sale, I knew immediately that it was something that I wanted to be involved in. After numerous messages back and forth with the seller, we arranged to meet up, and after some deliberation (and a coin toss) I decided to take the gamble, and here we are!
The tackle count brand was designed to be aimed mainly at Rugby League fans who enjoy the game but don’t have an affiliation with any team. The bulk of Rugby League merchandise comes from club shops, and include the clubs colours or badge, but if you don’t have a club who’s kit are you going to buy? Tackle count is generic, to give you the identity of a Rugby League fan, but without committing to a particular clubs colours, or for the die hard supporter who wants something different. In particular, I would like to think that the tackle count brand is something that can help to promote the game of Rugby League to new fans who only occasionally watch games on TV, and maybe give them a nudge towards their local clubs, whether that’s professional or amateur!
I have decided to start the range with a small amount of products to gauge what people want and opinions on the quality of the items. The target date for the store to open is Monday 6th May, although easter has caused some headaches with supplies!
If you are looking for something different, or you know somebody who might be looking for something different, let them know about tacklecount.com, give the facebook page a share, and follow us on twitter. There’s plenty of ideas in the pipeline to keep you interested, if there’s anything that you want to see let me know, all feedback is appreciated!
So from me, thank you very much for reading my first blog post, I’ll make sure to add more going forward.
